Italy's Brescia province is the spiritual home of competitive trap shooting, and Trap Concaverde is the club that the international scene has treated as a destination for thirty years. The fall 2023 club call drew shooters from across Europe and a small American contingent that made the trip specifically for the Italian trap experience.

The Concaverde layout is unforgiving. The traps are set hot, the targets come off the line at the upper end of what regulation allows, and the average shooter who walks onto the line for the first time goes home with a lower score than they expected. By the third day, the visitors who stuck with it had recalibrated.
