The 2023 NSCA Nationals in San Antonio was, by attendance, the largest sporting clays event in the world. Eight days of competition across multiple disciplines and divisions, with thousands of shooters on property and a logistical operation that would not be out of place at a major league sporting event.
The on-course story was as rich as the attendance figure suggested. Multiple All-American careers were either confirmed or began at the 2023 Nationals. A handful of regional shooters who arrived as unknowns left with the kind of finish that changes the next two years of their schedule.
